The dates matter
The parenting-time adjustment and low-income adjustment became effective January 1, 2026. The VA disability credit and updated Basic Child Support Obligation table became effective July 1, 2024. Those changes should not be described as three measures that all began in 2026.
Parenting days, not a generic overnight count
The formula uses the number of parenting days entered for the noncustodial parent under the statute and current worksheet. Do not substitute an informal overnight count for the worksheet definition.
Low-income adjustment
The current worksheet calculates the low-income adjustment using the statutory table and percentage limits. Eligibility is not accurately summarized as one universal $1,550-to-$3,950 monthly-income band.
Before relying on an estimate
Use Georgia's current calculator and instructions, and ask a Georgia attorney or the court about the worksheet that applies to your proceeding. This page does not calculate support or predict a result.
